That's Life!

By Agan

Those Feet . . .

(To be sung by the whole group to the tune of 'Jerusalem' (Billy Bragg version here) but no flag-waving - unless it's the Red Flag - please!)

And did those feet, at the end of the day.
Walk upon Toronto's station floor:
And were they tired and very weary,
After slaving for eight hours or more!

And did our train arrive on time,
Ready to ferry us back home?
Or was it delayed, as usual,
By 'Delays out of our control'

Bring me my newspaper to read;
Bring me my Big Mac and the frills
Bring me my Coke, to wash it down
Bring me my indigestion pills

"Oh, bugger this hymn-singing, lad; just get that bloody train here, so I can go home to my wife and cold six-pack . . ."
