Missenden Abbey in Buckinghamshire
I had to go the Great Missenden today for a eye test so I popped into the grounds of the Abbey for a blip.
Originally an Augustinian monastery established in 1133. The house was built in 1574, with alterations and additions over the years.
Gutted by fire in 1985 but refurbished by Bucks CC (in the days when they had funds)
Now part of the Bucks New University and used as a conference centre.
Lovely situation in the Chilterns.
