Rochdale

I have to declare I am no lover of Rochdale.  The shopping area has lost its character and its heart. It's now an 'all modern' shopping centre with all the usual stores - BUT - the area down by the Town Hall is exceptional.
Wide open spaces - lovely gardens - and a quite stunning Town Hall  'one of the finest municipal buildings in the country'. 
A quick blip inside is in extras.
On a day like today, you could have imagined yourself being almost anywhere - other than Rochdale..
