..... fell asleep two minutes from the end of the beautiful Copland clarinet concerto she had been very much enjoying listening to, performed by the CBSO- an orchestra she always loves seeing and hearing. I should add, the first movement of the concerto is beautifully tranquil. The kind of music you would fall asleep to. But nope, she fell asleep at the height of the very lively, exuberant second movement!
We had an at home day today. It wasn't the plan but it was how it turned out and it was fine. She's played, she's done lots and lots and lots of beautiful music. She had a quiet time in her bed early afternoon, just cuddling her friends, listening o some music and reading for a short time but mainly just laying and cuddling monkeys.
Lydi came to say hello briefly this morning. Katie had some time in the garden this afternoon with our neighbours daughter. She went a bit silly hyper but had fun. E had brought some bags of clothes for katie which is always good. There's a couple of dresses we both really like.
Katie discovered glee this afternoon. She asked to watch it as she has seen "Glee in Concert" so I chose carefully a couple of episodes she could watch. She tinkered on the piano a whole lot more, just "messing around" and exploring.
She had a really long bath & I massaged pat milk in to her skin. We had all calamined up, story read and about to go to sleep when B messaged to tell us about the Copland. Katie was definitely not missing that! She'll hear the end on listen again, no doubt. She's super excited for tomorrow to come when she gets to see her B in person for a really long happy double lesson and coffee date.
