Volunteers Needed....

Although Trentham Gardens have a superb team of gardeners they also have a small army of volunteers. It was one of their recruitment days today. And here's one of the gardeners explaining what's involved.

I was up and out, and at Trentham by 8.15am! It's lovely to have the place almost to yourself. The cootlings are starting to hatch (see extra), and my Great Crested Grebe has disappeared. She had one chick hatched last Friday, so I'm assuming all the rest have too. I'll just have to keep an eye out for them on the lake.

Took dad out for an early evening meal tonight. He may not be able to cycle and do all the things he used to, but hasn't lost his appetite for a good meal!
