Very Generous

I was quite shocked when I had an email a week or so ago from the secretary of the Stonehouse Dog Training Club saying they wanted to give me a cheque for my sponsored ride at the end of June.
I expected them, if they felt generous, to make it for about £50.00. A follow up email said they wanted to give me £200.00! I was quite taken aback. 
I said I would go this evening as it is the AGM of the club and pick up the cheque. Lots of nice things were said about the website that I have managed for the past few years (probably about 8 years) and the business that it has brought in for them and this was a way of saying thank you. I have never asked for any payment but I do pay an annual fee for the websites I have created and I enjoy doing it.

Presenting the cheque to me in the photograph is Mike Vines, president, who started the club in 1962 and is an ex Military Police dog handler.

Photograph was with my camera but taken by Linda Lane, the club Secretary who keeps me fed with information about the club to put on the website.
