Dust Storm

This afternoon I was out driving about and the car said it was 110F (43C) - sure felt like it too...

how quickly things change...

this evening those beautiful blue skies turned brown within minutes as a dust storm blew this way. It was amazing to watch it coming, I could see it moving like smoke from a giant fire, a few minutes later I could smell the dust, and right after that I felt the winds suddenly pick up. So fast I was running for the house from my blipping spot and I could feel it crunching between my teeth - yikes!

Caught a few pretty good shots, this one was one of my faves...the big blob to the right is the dust cloud.
