this is one of Leah's classmates Z. Z. likes birds. Z. told us about Persian food, how to say apple in Farsi, traditions involving goldfish centerpieces; it was awesome. so, Z. and Nicole came up after they had sushi downstairs. Nicole had to pick up her black and white canvases of some Denver photos I had made up for her new apartment walls! they came out so well! then Z. helped me out for today's Blip (and I got to keep tweaking around with my new portrait lights).

what else is going on? oh, you know, just a billion things to do this weekend for school, yay. at least I have finally got around to starting the new Murakami novel (nine months later, really??). i find that i really need something like this to balance out all of the other stuff that i am struggling to stay interested in for school. why do i have to fight things so much, meet this academic work with so much derision?
