Coomkeen Loop

We walked the Coomkeen Loop on a beautifully still, bright day with the waters of bantry Bay below us disturbed only by a lone yacht and 'Thrax', the tug from the oil depot on Whiddy Island. We sat to eat an early lunch and listened to the perfect silence broken only by birdsong. The walk back up the road (on the left in the picture) is tough and there has been a lot of heavy burning recently so the landscape has been temporarily blackened in places unfortunately. Magnums were taken afterwards :)
