At the other end of the Leeds-Liverpool Canal from my usual haunts, this is the Liverpool Canal Link. It offers an extension route for boats reaching the end of the Leeds-Liverpool to come into the regenerated area around Albert Dock, and beyond that to enter the Mersey and from there the Manchester Ship Canal. It's just a shame the bridges on the Link don't have numbers :)

So 12yo and I have come to Liverpool for a couple of days. 9yo was unfortunately feeling too poorly to come. This afternoon we got our bearings and spent some time in the Maritime Museum. Tomorrow we may head up the coast a little to Another Place before taking in another museum or two.
