Hey, get that camera out of my face!

Gracie is a domestic long hair of questionable heritage. We rescued her from a shelter at which she had lived for four years. I think that she didn't get some key lessons from her mom, as she can't seem to keep herself groomed. Thus, we shave her on a regular basis.
The first couple of times, she would hide under the bed for a couple of days, but now she doesn't seem to mind, except when it's -10 outside and she's just been to the groomers. They usually blend the shave into her face and head fur a great deal better. Once, they stopped shaving behind her cheeks, so she had an odd triangluar shape for her head. She reminded us of the alien on the old bugs bunny cartoons.
She LOVES curling up next to the woodstove. Usually, she's got a whole lot more of her touching or underneath the edge of the stove.
