Dandelion

I feel a bit like this dandelion today - losing my head, a little at a time! Gavin and I both had a restless sleep last night, as waiting to hear from the council regarding the problem with the plans is driving us both crazy. To explain, our purchase of the new house is conditional on a technical problem with the plans that the sellers are trying to get resolved. All the paperwork was lodged with the council many weeks ago, but in true planning department fashion, they are ignoring any pleas from the seller to hurry it along. Our lawyer says its a tiny technicality that will be resolved - someone just has to sign a report and issue a certificate but they sure are taking their time over it - subsequently we were advised to make our purchase conditional on that taking place. We are in contact with the sellers nearly every day and all of us are so frustrated with this slow progress by planning department.

I won't think of that anymore today - I will escape by cooking dinner and then relaxing in front of the TV with something entertaining - certainly no more coverage on the forthcoming election!
