Murder most fowl!

This fowl scene of devastation left the birds speechless and human observers agitated. Mrs Booty thought she heard a "Mackerel" when she meant Magpie. Booty had heard a thump and yelp in the gloaming, this was confirmed after expert analysis of the corpse showed that the corpse was indeed a corpse and a cold corpse at that.

A search of the surrounding bushes has been conducted after a known villain, a beautifully marked and bewhiskered B&W cat was seen skulking from the premises. As soon as an identikitty picture has been produced it will be pony expressed to New Pondland Yard where Inspector Toad has been given charge of the investigation.
