Elm Delight

Our Winged Elm is just beginning to leaf out. The squirrels are simply besides themselves with glee! Those tiny new leaf shoots must be very tasty! Years ago when our Elm was young, I was horrified to see the TreeRats chomping on it's brand new growth, but I came to realize that it's just part of Mother's Plan and the tree never seems to suffer any lasting damage. So, you'll be treated to silly photos of these squirrel contortionists over the next couple of weeks. I hope that you'll enjoy them as much as I do!
