Nowhere Wood Quarry
This is a pennant sandstone quarry face in Nowhere wood in Trendlewood Park. It is only about 300 million years old and as sediment was probably brought and deposited by river water from French mountains over a period of 3 million years. The quarry supplied building stone to Nailsea until about 1930, then became a garden and is now a quiet 10 acre oasis of woodland
