Abstract Thursday

For this week's monochrome theme I've simply blipped a section of bark on one of the old trees in the garden. Not very interesting.

Before she left for home after lunch, Gill and I found an excuse to go to The Aizle's shop this morning. It just so happened to be coffee time, so it would have been rude to bypass the café and even ruder not to sample their empire biscuits. (Verdict: disappointingly soft, but otherwise delicious.)

The extra shows the rather snazzy car that pulled up in front of where we were sitting inside the café. I was surprised to see the roof down, since it had been raining just minutes before, and yet the elegant couple who emerged from the car showed no sign of being bedraggled.
