Going Nuts

I have recently been waking up to the cheep of cardinals.  I haven't snapped any in quite some time so I decided to tempt with some peanuts.  It didn't take long for this fella to sniff them out.  Whenever a cardinal, Curve-billed thrasher or Gila woodpecker spots them, they have 'hit and run', always to crack them open out of my sight.  This time I was entertained for quite a while as he nipped and whacked at these. 

I'm anticipating getting my laptop returned tomorrow, earlier than I expected.  I'm in the habit of going to the camera club now.  Maybe that will motivate me to begin attending some of their morning special interest groups.
