The flickers are back and boy are they noisy!

Loud woody woodpecker like calls ringing through the spring woods belong to these guys. The yellow shafted and red  shafted are now known as the Northern flicker.Must apologize I took this several days ago , but Wed was the bird course in Ithaca and I had to make chili for the Democratic Women's Chili cook off ( last night ) which supports 2 scholarships for HS students. So no time for a photo yesterday- though I am sorry I didn't blip the bird wall at the Cornell lab. Perhaps next week! Well off to work!
