Warhammer 40,000

Walking back from the garage while my winter tyres were being removed, I passed a shop dedicated to this tabletop game and was reminded that I'd seen it last autumn. Coincidentally there were Warhammer books in the nearby Oxfam bookshop, and a new PC game was released yesterday.

This is part of popular culture that had entirely passed me by. I see from Wikipedia that it was created in 1987, and must be sufficiently popular to sustain a shop in a city the size of Perth.
