Luna
The lunar phase above is known as a "Waxing Crescent moon" in the Southern Hemisphere. Tomorrow night 50% of the moon will be exposed and that will be called a "First Quarter moon".
Along the light side of the terminator (the twilight zone) all the craters in its path are greatly enhanced with shadows, usually making for some spectacular photographs.

I spent the day looking for a wave to surf but the swell was weak/small and the breaks were crowded so no surfing for me. Oh well, better luck tomorrow. :o)
