Waiting For A Ride
Today was our last day of visits to the "children of the highway". Another morning of intense stories.
And remember Ariele? I was so relieved to find her alive and well (see extra). She is going to school on a regular basis now, and I found her stronger and self-confident.
I chose this photo for today's blip because it is kind of symbolic of these children. They live and play at the margins of a busy highway, always hoping for a ride that will take them to a better life.
You can find the whole set of these pictures (including some un-blipped ones) here.
To all the Experimental Photography Challenge aficionados out there: Due to my trip to the Amazon next week, there will be a break of three weeks in the challenges. I will be away from April 26th to May 10th. The next EP challenge will be published on May 13th. Hearts for the current challenge (EP5) will be given on Monday, April 24th.
