In order to salve the conscience of the TV snooker potato, I got out needle & thread & mended two tatty shirts - I'm from the "make do & mend" generation, right?

I then amazed myself by getting out the silver polish & the elbow grease, giving spoons & forks a good seeing to. Should I have taken a shot of how they looked before?

Perhaps not!

The blue reflections are TV generated...
