Earth(worm) Day

"Come quick, " said Mr S, who had been hard at work in the garden, amending the tomato bed while I did the crossword puzzle and sipped my coffee. "And bring your camera!" Off I went, robe flapping. And here is the prize, proof that rich soil is good for everybody. I tried a few shots with the worm by itself, but then I would have to use a thousand words to tell you what you were seeing. Instead, here is another treat--this wonderful old folding wooden measuring device, probably from my father's workbench or his uncle's toolbox. Numbers don't lie. Science is real.
