Ship in a glass... the Last Grain Race

Peering into the bottom of a beer glass, as one does, I saw an old sailing ship.

The book is the last grain race, by Eric Newby, an amazing read .. thoroughly recommended.

Makes an interesting variation on a ship in a bottle anyway??
