Wally Lions

Many Scots homes in the past would have had a "wally dug" on the mantelpiece, in fact normally two as they come in pairs. My mother sidestepped the dugs and went upmarket to build a collection of "wally lions". They now watch beady-eyed over all the family gatherings from their place on top of the bookcase.
