The Shadow of a Cloud

9.8C with some cloud around but plenty of sunny sunshine. More cloud and some showers forecast later. Light WNW/W breeze.

Grocery shopping.

We went the ten miles or so South to Southend then followed the road round past Dunaverty beach and Kiel to Carskey Bay. Lots of seals on the rocks and in the sea next to the shore at Kiel.

At Carskey we walked along to the far end and came back again. The tide was on the way out, leaving the beach looking huge and very empty. One seal popped up near the car park end. There were lots of Gannets flying along. A variety of gulls were floating about offshore, and on the beach Oystercatchers, Ringed Plovers, and one or two Dunlin. On the hills the Gorse is out and the trees are greening up nicely. On the far hill the shadow of a cloud passed the little house on the road to the Mull.

There were no eggs for sale at Little farm's roadside stand today.

When we came back through town and came past the harbour Raba was at the new quay taking on wood.
