Ringing at St Wilf's first thing this morning then straight down to Tommy's to ring there. Our #2 bell is out of commission awaiting adjustment at the moment so we rang the back 8. These 8 bells are the original ring and to my ear sound better than than the 10.

We had practiced a bit more ringing up and down on Thursday night practice and it paid some dividends.

Home for a couple of hours before heading to Ferry Lane Thelwall where you can still get a ferry across the Manchester Ship canal. We were there to see the steam tug Daniel Adamson which has been fully restored.

We raced it down to Latchford where we watched it negotiate the locks.

Back home again to change or mode of transport to bicycle. I was able to try out my Brookes saddle for the very first time. We cycled to the walled garden where we enjoyed a cup of tea and a slice of cake outside in the sunshine.
