Queensland Landscape

Driving back to Brisbane from Boyne Island, where my son and his wife lived for 3 years, we took the back roads instead of the Bruce Highway. Winding through this lovely countryside, the roads had minimal traffic and we could stop in small towns for ice cream! 

The extra is of a colony of fruit bats. Hundreds of them were hanging in the trees of a forest on Boyne Island.
