Comfort Food

I had a lovely visit with my favourite cousin B at the Faubourg Paris cafe in Vancouver. Croissant and cappuccino for me. Tea and fig/walnut loaf for B. Comfort on many levels. A warm, wonderful visit with a dear girlfriend whose annual visits I cherish; a cafe reminiscent of so many in my favourite city; croissant and coffee that transported me back to Paris as we sipped and shared stories. Heart-shapped coffee art to delight as we sat outside, French cafe style, and soaked up our time together.
