Shutter Gang

The girls were here revising most of the day. I (Chris) abandoned plans to take the Triumph out as it's still not running right. I did however take the Lotus out to join a meet up of what I can only describe as the local "cruise". A group of car enthusiasts (who also enjoy photography) called the Shutter Gang, have been arranging car meets in Aylesbury. This was the eighth event in 18 months or so, each growing in size. It was a right old mix of cars from Mk 1 Escorts and Minis, through 80s BMWs and Fords, 90s Subarus and Evos with a smattering of modern stuff. The group were selling mechandise to raise money for a local charity and despite the opportunity of a large retail park, everyone seemed to be well behaved. There was a Police presence but they kept it quite low key. Perhaps it got more lively later in the evening but after a walk around the 300 or so cars, I headed home.
