Posters at the old Winter Gardens Morecambe which was open today for Heritage weekend it is now a Grade II listed building and opened as The Victoria Pavilion theatre in 1897 and is situated on the resort's central promenade, overlooking Morecambe Bay it was sadly closed to the public in 1977.

The Friends of the Winter Gardens were formed in 1986 to represent the interests of the building, and campaigned for its preservation and restoration. In 2006 the Friends formed a charitable trust company and are working to protect the building pending full restoration.
