Grub
Sitting lonely in the bottom of this hexagonal cell this larvae is possibly from a wasp.
I found it yesterday precariously attached on the canvas window cover of the breeze house and was fascinated by it's delicate construction. The grub is sitting in one of 5 cells which have been made on top of a slender stalk called a petiole, rather like a flower. This in turn is in a beautiful bowl with the whole thing being only an inch wide. The larvae isn't hidden at all and I would imagine is open to predation as it is. Quite attractive but unwanted where it is!
