Migrant in Moscow

Last days of winter

The archway into the Zachatyevsky Monastery in Moscow.  Built in Naryshkin Baroque, a style of baroque which flourished for about 50 years towards the end of the 17th century.  This particular structure was built in 1696 and is the only original part of the monastery (along with the wall) which survived the communist takeover in the 1930s.  Snow on the ground (and still falling) on this last day of March.

The top parts of the main church blipped here and here.
