Ayr

Took train to Ayr went to walk the River Ayr Way (at least some of it) but didn't get very far. We found the first part which was lovely walking along the side of the river. It wasn't clear on the website which side you should be on as it crossed over a few times and there was a misleading sign which took us on to the wrong side and we ended up in a muddy field.

We retraced our steps and came back to Ayr on mostly the other side of the river. Now have a map from the Tourist Office. So might do part of it another time. After coffee and cake walked to the mouth of the river and along the shore before catching the train home.
