Everyday I Write The Book

By Eyecatching

After Dark

Spring took a holiday today and the the cold and grumpy Mr Winter dropped in again. Having spent so much time in the garden over the weekend it was quite a contrast to turn the heating back on and watch a movie curled up on the settee rather than sitting outside as the sun went down.

We watched Moonrise Kingdom, a tender and eccentric film about pubescent love, imagination, convention and adult regret; and about how even the most fetid and at times brutal bureaucracies can fail to suppress yearning and desire. Also beautifully photographed and with a fairytale running through it. Worth seeing.

Work was just work; more change in the air today, encounters with old colleagues, and too much chocolate. But all in all not a bad day. I went out after dark and photographed a bug crawling across one of our solar lights; it seemed to fit the theme of the movie somehow. And truth was I'd left it rather late ...

Works better if you "Go Large".
