Mono Monday

This is a rather sad entry but it came to me as I was thinking about today's challenge 'stone'.

January 21, 2000 a van full of teens were heading to a classmates house when their vehicle lost control on black ice and struck a pole.  Teens Matthew (16), Gina (15) and Sabrina (15) were killed out of the eight passengers in the mini van driven by Sabrina's sister.  These deaths rocked our city as we mourned young lives gone too soon.  One of the lives lost, sadly was the nephew of our very dear friends.

This beautiful Celtic headstone marks the location of where the accident occurred on a quiet mountain road.
