Mossy Saxifrage
Another early start, followed by a trip to Spalding to visit the room where we're holding Molly's party. It was really useful to see the layout, and we now have a much better idea of how we'll arrange it, and where we can put the decorations. We spent a lot of time chatting to one of Molly's friends, Betty, who's volunteered to help on the day by serving the tea and coffee and arranging the flowers.
From there we went to visit Molly and report on our findings. She seemed much perkier than when we visited last week. The bruises on her face are still quite noticeable, but they're beginning to fade. She's booked herself a professional make-up session for the morning of her party, to make sure she's looking her best.
When we returned home we fund that our new table and benches had arrived, so Pete spent some time putting them together. They're certainly very well-constructed - now we just need some warm weather so that we can eat outside! It certainly wasn't warm today, with an early morning frost followed by chilly afternoon showers, which interrupted his progress a couple of times. In between the showers the sunshine was bright, and the mats of spring flowers on the raised bed positively sparkled.
