Hug a plumber

Today is 'Hug a Plumber Day', would you believe! According to the blurb that accompanies such things, it 'reminds us to sing the praises of these important men and women who make sure that modern living remains clean.' Yes, really.

Every day of the year is designated as a special day for something or other. Tomorrow is variously 'National Help a Horse Day', 'National Richter Scale Day' and also 'National Pretzel Day'

I spent most of today in Italy on a car launch, so had no contact with plumbers, but was reminded of them by water nearby.
