Abandoned Places, Abandoned Hearts

There is an abandoned Greek church in our school which is quiet strange since this is a school and it is not a Catholic school or etc. But Istanbul is an interesting city and there is always a historical artefact in every few  steps you take. This church was used way before our school is founded (Our school is founded at 1863 so this church is pretty old.) and it is forbidden to go inside it. Just a mysterious abandoned Greek church. Casual high school stuff.

I don't know why but I feel really sad every time I saw something abandoned. Why would you abandon something? Why would you let all your memories to fade away? Abandoned houses makes me feel sad. I start to get curious about their stories and eventually I end up with nothing certain. Sure there are many reasons why you can abandon something. Like you eventually leave someone you love. Intentionally.

And this is the most strange thing about abandoning. Because to abandon something you need to love it in the first place and the change that made you leave is the thing that upsets me most. Change is necessary but abandoning still makes me sad.
