WW Launch
This is "L" for Launch pad, "L" being the last letter of the April Wide Angle Wednesday challenge hosted by BobsBlips.
The rocket is a prototype of the Blackheath Rocket which the Rotary Club is going to replace after the original was removed several years ago as it no longer met "Australian Playground Equipment Safety Standards".
Many of our kids grew up playing on (and surviving) the rocket and we are pleased that our grandchildren will have the same opportunity.
Those in between had to make do climbing trees in the park instead and as far as I know most of them even survived that far more dangerous activity as well :-)
I couldn't do much to the rocket with the wide angle lens but I hope the general effect makes it look as if it is about to blast off from the planet.
