Only the first two of these familiar lines apply to today. The initial plan was for a morning run followed by reading and report writing. However, watching the NZ All Blacks struggle to win against Argentina, meant I was late to bed.
So Plan B. In the middle of the day, head into Warkworth in the car, and then have a run along the river bank. While still finishing breakfast, a phone call from friends to say they thought that would take up our invitation to visit. For lunch. They
Plan C. Not actually a plan. I just headed out for a medium distance run, before friends arrived. Early in the run I saw the donkeys in their field, and thought that I could come back past them and get a photo. This is it.
Earlier in the year I was concerned to see that they had broken hooves and matted coats, and contacted SPCA. A couple of months later, the grandsons and I went back and they were much much healthier. Although I wasn't as close today, they looked good.
Lovely time with friends, and then J arrived back, and S' brother and his son also visited. No work done after lunch, but a lovely happy afternoon.
