Burn, baby, burn

It was the day of the great cathartic burning festival.

There were two braziers on the go non-stop for five hours.

There was wine (and fruit shoots).

There were toasted marshmallows, toasties and popcorn.

There was the world premiere of a new walk through play in the garden "The Easter Bunny and the Monster" which concerned the illegal friendship of the Easter Bunny and the Monster who rescued her when the Creme Egg volcano erupted. Unfortunately it ended with the Easter Bunny being beheaded by a shovel which was unexpected.

There was a very hot whippet curled up panting on a garden bench as close to the fire as it could get.

There was a Chinese Lantern in the shape of an enormous heart that was sent up to the stars with a family wish.

There were stories and songs around the fire.

And at some stage a few secrets were burnt too.

It was one of the best evenings ever.
