Gaylord, Leave it!

Dear Diary,

The rain continues but there is hope it will end today.  Everything is a tad soggy, including all the nesting materials I put out hoping to encourage a bird family to settle in the gourd birdhouse.  No takers yet and Gaylord is not helping!  He has been nosing at the birdhouse and even trying a tentative nibble!  Perhaps I should have tried a different location, away from the seed bowls and the cheeky squirrels.

All this rain has made the grass turn green and as soon as the sun comes out again it will be growing like crazy I'm sure.  Andrew will probably have to come and mow soon.  From plowing snow to mowing grass in such a short time.  Nature has its own schedule and it doesn't always fit in with ours.
