Farm Puppies

A trip out to the farm today to pick up raw milk, cheese, cream, eggs, etc. It's a 3 hour drive there and back, so I drove while D read to me to pass the time, though the scenery we passed was beautiful with many colorful wild flowers by the roadside.
One of the farm dogs had given birth to a huge litter of about 8 or 10 puppies, who were adorable! Even D thought they were cute!
The aerial structure seen in the background is a stand of Purple Martin bird houses, as they help to keep the mosquito and other insect population down.
