Cleckheaton

A quick trip across to Yorkshire, to visit Cleckheaton (this is its Town Hall) and Heckmondwike, two splendidly named towns in the Spen Valley.  I am researching for a possible future Superlative Walk there. The possible superlative relates to Heckmondwike, said to have hosted the UK's first "Illuminations" 11 years before Blackpool. Evidence is currently a bit inconclusive but I believe that this lighting installation in Green Park, called "the Crown of Lights" commemorates that.
