Baklava

Guests came for dinner tonight (that's our 5th night in a row with guests so I'm quite happy not to see anyone /cook for a while now!) They brought us delicious baklava.

The children and I spent the afternoon with a refugee family who talked a lot about their future (or lack of it as they would see it). The state of this country is really depressing with all the possible battles, big and small, coming up, especially as Turkey just bombed a contentious place. Our friends are too fearful to return to their home village but life is hard for them here. It's so sad listening to them.
