Dunnottar Castle

It was a fine sunny morning, but still cold.  Rain came in later.  Arrived in Aberdeen, and it was dull and showers, travelled further south and showers have continued, but sunny spells too.  A fine sunny evening.

Woke up early and dropped off Archie to the cattery, and rushed to the airport.  10 days holidays, and touring about Scotland.  Arrived in Aberdeen in the early afternoon, picked up the car and headed to the hotel in Stonehaven.  Had a look about the town, and made it as far south as Inverbervie.  Might try a few pints tonight in the town.

One of my main attractions for my holiday is castles and hopefully visit a few over the next few days :)  This is Dunnottar Castle, just south of Stonehaven.  It stands high over the clifftops, and perfect placing for the castle to defend itself.  The castle was closed to visitors, due to high winds, but the views were stunning.
