End of Re-Start

Christchurch's container mall officially closes on Sunday.  Currently, in part of the shortly to be removed container mall, there is an exhibition of photographs of the mall's construction to a very tight deadline.  My favourite photograph is the arrival of the ship loaded with all the containers.  

After operating for 2000 days, it is finally time for our temporary city centre to be replaced by more permanent facilities.  New buildings are popping up fast, which is really encouraging.  The new multi-story carpark is beginning to fill up, even though we're paying to use it now, which must also be a good sign.  Exciting times!
