Before going to see friend who has just come out of hospital having suffered sepsis pneumonia and been very poorly I popped down to the canal and she's still sitting tight.  Her feathers were ruffling around her like petticoats as that nasty wind is still with us * extra

I was very glad to see friend not looking half as poorly as expected and doing quite well and being very well administered to by his lovely wife R, one of my very dearest friends and with whom I had a bite of lunch with earlier.
