Embroidered

After yesterday's beautiful image today's is less so.

I was pottering in the garden this morning while daughter was catching up with her homework. I wasn't looking for a blip, it found me. This pretty big spider had spun it's web between the leaves of the rhododendron bush. It was quite impressive. A bit silly not to take a photo of it.

I had other underneath shots of it where the web was more obvious and other shots where the detail was much sharper however this one was my favourite as I feel the spider is drawing us into his web.

Maybe not a pretty as yesterday's swan but it's body has the most beautiful markings, like a piece of heavily embroidered fabric.
